I resigned from my demanding N50,000 job to start my printing business, XpressHQ in Somolu Lagos.
No HQ at the time.
Just XpressNG, a vague printing business idea.
Working with fast-growing agencies like Alpha & Jam and Redtown Digital helped me develop my skills as a designer at a speed I had never presumed. This development of my skills led me to the discovery of how important it is to strive to get better in your field.
Improving your skills as a designer will give you room to sit in the midst of Kings (premium brands). I also use a wide range of professional design software.
King is truly good at what he does. He taught me how to use Photoshop and other media branding tools you have been seeing me churn out lately which has increased my following drastically.

Before the improvement in my skillset and growth as an individual, I was a graphic designer at UNILAG. I used to design flyers for lecturers, parties, students, and whoever needs my services.
As of 2012 when I started designing, there was little to data to watch tutorials on YouTube, very few mentors, and hardly a clear path to having a fulltime career as a designer.
It took me 3 years to first grasp the basics of designing.
3 freaking years just to understand the basics.
So basically, I spent my entire 4 years in UNILAG hustling & learning the basics of design, although I also have a 2:1 Finance Degree from the same institution.
